About the Role

Our client, a vibrant and community-focused early learning centre in Mahikeng, North West , is seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Early Years Play Facilitator & Assistant Educator. This role is perfect for someone passionate about early childhood development and fostering learning through play. You will work under the guidance of lead educators to create a stimulating and safe environment for children aged 18 months to 3 years. Key responsibilities include engaging children in play-based activities, assisting with daily routines such as feeding and napping, and supporting the overall classroom management. This is a part-time position, offering valuable experience in the childcare sector within the Mahikeng area. The ideal candidate will be energetic, patient, and eager to learn and grow within a supportive educational setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead educators in implementing daily lesson plans and play-based learning activities.
• Supervise and engage children in a variety of age-appropriate activities, promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Provide direct care and support to children, including feeding, diapering/toileting, and comforting.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Observe children's behaviour and development, reporting any significant observations to lead educators.
