Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Early Years Educator and Play Group Facilitator for a childcare centre in Mahikeng, North West. You will plan engaging activities, lead play-based learning, and support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth in a nurturing environment.

You will collaborate with a supportive team to deliver high-quality care, manage daily routines, maintain safety and hygiene, and build strong relationships with parents.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Early Childhood Education or childcare (certificate or diploma).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of child development principles and play-based learning methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage children effectively and manage group dynamics.
• Patience, creativity, and a nurturing attitude.
• Basic health, safety, and hygiene standards in childcare.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• First Aid certification is an advantage.
• Satisfactory police clearance.
