Job summary

Placements24 in Centurion is seeking a passionate Nursery Practitioner to join their childcare center. You will provide nurturing, stimulating care and support the early learning journey for young children within a collaborative team.

The role requires NQF Level 4 in Early Childhood Development, nursery experience, excellent communication, and a current First Aid certificate, plus willingness to undergo background checks.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 4 or equivalent in Early Childhood Development.
• Experience in a nursery or early years setting.
• Solid understanding of child development stages and teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and adults.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Current First Aid certificate and willingness to undergo background checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a curriculum of activities aligned with early learning frameworks, fostering creativity and critical thinking.
• Ensure the daily safety, well-being, and hygiene of children, adhering to nursery policies and procedures.
• Observe, document, and report on children's learning and development, maintaining records and communicating with parents.
• Create a welcoming and stimulating learning environment with accessible and engaging resources.
• Build warm relationships with children, supporting their social and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve nursery services.
