Inspired Education Group is seeking an educator for Reddam House Constantia in Cape Town. The role focuses on holistic student development from early learning through higher grades in a premium IEB environment. The candidate will foster a positive, engaging classroom and collaborate with a global network of schools.

The ideal candidate holds a teaching degree with SACE, has rights to work in South Africa, and is committed to ongoing professional development in a high-standard educational setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with students within the Early Learning phase.
• Confidence with use of multiple ICT in teaching.

Responsabilités

• Plan, prepare and present lessons.
• Create a nurturing learning environment to promote engaged learning.
• Maintain punctuality, professional standards and homework.
• Evaluate and reflect on teaching practice.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
• Teach extra lessons on two afternoons per week.
• Produce high-quality student resources.
• Respond to emails/parents within 24 hours.
• Attend school events as required by Head.
• Set and mark exams and other student evaluations.
• Write report comments.

ROLE SUMMARY:

• To adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them
• To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, prepare and present interesting and exciting lessons
• Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing, and which promotes engaged learning.
• Behave in a professional manner regarding punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and students’ homework
• Evaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice
• Be willing to continuously develop ones teaching through personal and school wide professional development
• Teach extra lessons, when required, on two afternoons per week
• Produce resources of a high standard for students
• Respond to e-mails and telephone messages from parents within 24 hours
• Show loyalty to all facets of Reddam House
• Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head
• Set and mark exams and all other forms of student evaluation
• Write report comments
• The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head determines.

Skills and Previous Experience:
