About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Early Childhood Educator with a specialization in supporting children with special needs in Queenstown. You will work closely with a dedicated team to implement individualized learning plans, offer tailored support, and foster a sense of belonging for all children. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with special needs.
• Provide direct support and specialized instruction to children, adapting activities to meet diverse learning requirements.
• Collaborate closely with therapists, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure a cohesive support system.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of all children.
• Monitor and document children's progress, communicating regularly with parents and stakeholders about developmental milestones and challenges.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Special Needs Education.
• Experience working with young children with a range of special needs (e.g., developmental delays, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder).
• Strong understanding of child development, inclusive practices, and differentiated instruction.
• Excellent communication, patience, and empathetic interpersonal skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications are required.
