Placements24 is seeking a nurturing Early Childhood Development (ECD) Practitioner for our Paarl center. You will create a stimulating, safe learning environment and support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

You will plan age-appropriate curricula, observe progress, maintain records, and communicate with parents. A collaborative team aims to provide high-quality early education within the Western Cape community.

You will be responsible for creating a stimulating and safe learning environment for young children, fostering their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities that promote child development.

• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and well-being.
• Manage classroom behavior positively and constructively.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children under your supervision.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support the center's overall goals.

Requirements

• Relevant ECD qualification (e.g., NQF Level 4 or higher).
• Previous experience working with young children in an ECD setting.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for working with children and fostering their growth.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Criminal record check and relevant certifications must be in order.
