Qualifications

• Must have a relevant qualification in Early Childhood Development, Education, or related field (e.g., Diploma in ECD, B.Ed.).
• Minimum 4 years of direct experience with young children in ECD settings.
• Proven track record in training adults and facilitating learning in the ECD sector.
• Strong knowledge of child development theories, play-based learning, and age-appropriate curricula.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop engaging training materials and curriculum content.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• A passion for early childhood education and commitment to nurturing learners in Polokwane.

About the Role

Our client, a leading organization dedicated to early childhood education in Polokwane, Limpopo , is seeking an inspiring and qualified Early Childhood Development (ECD) Facilitator & Trainer . This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality ECD programs for young children and providing professional development and training to ECD practitioners. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of child development, innovative pedagogical approaches, and a passion for nurturing young minds. You will play a key role in enhancing the quality of ECD services across the Limpopo region, ensuring that children receive the best possible start in life. Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate ECD learning experiences for children aged 0-5 years.
• Develop and conduct training workshops for ECD practitioners, focusing on curriculum implementation, child safety, and pedagogical best practices.
• Provide ongoing support and mentorship to ECD practitioners, observing classes and offering constructive feedback.
• Develop and curate age-appropriate educational materials and resources for both children and practitioners.
• Assess children's development and progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents/guardians.
• Ensure the ECD environment is safe, stimulating, and conducive to learning and development.
• Stay abreast of current research, trends, and policies in early childhood education.
• Collaborate with community stakeholders, ECD centers, and relevant government departments to promote quality ECD provision.
• Organize and facilitate community outreach programs related to early childhood development.
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of ECD curricula and training programs.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Development, Education, or a related field (e.g., Diploma in ECD, B.Ed.).

• Proven experience in training and facilitating adult learners, preferably within the ECD sector.
