Job summary

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is looking for a nurturing and dynamic Early Childhood Development (ECD) Facilitator to join their vibrant learning center in Welkom. You will be responsible for designing and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, understands child development principles, and is committed to creating a positive and engaging learning experience for every child, fostering a love for learning from the earliest stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning activities that cater to the developmental needs of young children.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
• Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and providing feedback to parents.
• Ensure the well-being and safety of all children under your care, adhering to health and hygiene standards.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a sense of community within the learning center.
• Manage classroom resources effectively and contribute to the overall operational needs of the ECD center.

Requirements

• A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field.
• Proven experience working with young children (birth to 5 years) in an ECD setting.
• Strong understanding of child development theories and age-appropriate pedagogical practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young children and their families.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
• First Aid certification is a plus.
