Job Description: Exit Execution Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to support exit execution clusters by ensuring successful divestments and exits that optimize value for the IDC. This role leverages expertise and relationships within the Private Equity and investment markets.

Qualifications
  • Relevant Post Graduate Degree in Business, Commercial, or Legal fields; equivalent qualifications are essential.
  • CA (SA), MBA, or equivalent is advantageous.
Knowledge & Skills
  • 8-10 years' experience in portfolio transformation within private equity or commercial banking, involving asset exits.
  • At least 4 years' experience assessing the economic viability of businesses.
  • Equity valuation expertise and financial modelling skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing exit strategies, including sell-side M&A.
  • Strong understanding of economic trends, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of company law, contract law, taxation, and insolvency legislation.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Design effective exit propositions to maximize financial recovery within set timeframes.
  2. Continuously assess and update exit opportunities across primary, secondary markets, and IPOs.
  3. Identify and evaluate potential buyers and exit options, ensuring optimal opportunities are pursued.
  4. Assist in defining best practice exit terms and conditions during due diligence.
  5. Optimize departmental resources and provide efficient client service.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors.
  • Advise on new investment opportunities and exit strategies.
  • Leverage market relationships to facilitate fast, value-adding exits.
  • Communicate and promote the unit externally.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
  • Business acumen, problem-solving, analytical skills, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Financial modelling, research, benchmarking, and investment management expertise.
  • Networking, marketing, communication, presentation, relationship management, planning, organizing, and report writing skills.
