Role Overview

The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.

This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in industrial engineering within the textile industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Managing a team of Industrial Engineers
2. Analyze and optimize textile manufacturing processes and workflows
3. Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles
4. Conduct time and motion studies to enhance production efficiency
5. Develop and oversee quality control systems to ensure product standards
6. Coordinate with production managers and other departments to streamline operations
7. Design and implement cost-saving measures and waste reduction strategies
8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards
9. Prepare and present production reports to stakeholders
10. Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve manufacturing processes
11. Provide training and guidance to production staff on best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related field (Only B.Eng will be considered)
• Proven experience in industrial engineering
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies

Location Requirement

Candidates must reside in Newcastle, KZN, or be willing to relocate to the area.
