Purpose of Position:
To process specimens according to set criteria and standards on all benches in the Microbiology Laboratory and to provide training to the employees on all benches.
Requirements:
HPCSA registration: Independent Practice Microbiology, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field, National Diploma: Biomedical Technology
Required Experience:
Experiential training in a training laboratory, Knowledge: Ampath Microbiology document system, Knowledge: HPCSA regulations, Knowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA)
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath.
  2. Perform administration tasks to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory.
  3. Perform QC procedures in the laboratory to uphold best practices.
  4. Process routine bench work to ensure efficient processing of specimens.
  5. Provide technical support within the laboratory to ensure the efficient flow of specimens and timely results.
