About Vega School

Vega School is an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE). The IIE is renowned for being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to offer higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).

The IIE Vega, Bordeaux Campus, has a vacancy for an Invigilator. Invigilators play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the assessment process in accordance with the IIE Assessment Policy and Strategy.

Key Performance Areas
  1. Assist with setting up examination venues and aid students with seating arrangements.
  2. Ensure assessment security before, during, and after exams.
  3. Collaborate with Assessment Officers to handle student queries and irregularities during examinations, following the IIE Assessment Policy and Strategy.
  4. Manage exam papers and scripts—receiving, distributing, collecting, and collating—before, during, and after assessments.
  5. Adhere to venue preparation, management, and assessment rules as per the IIE Assessment Strategy.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12)
Working Conditions
  • This is an independent contractor/casual employment (part-time), with candidates required to work only during assessments.
  • Must be registered for PAYE and have an associated income tax number.
  • Training will be provided.
