Job description

We're seeking a dynamic Shift Supervisor to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for executing the production plan made by the business and supervising the production staff throughout the shift. The role requires overseeing multiple activities simultaneously, taking ownership of the output of leads and staff, and exhibiting a strong working knowledge of machinery, equipment, and processes. You must be able to manage and troubleshoot all technological tools used in production and work closely with other functions within the facility to execute initiatives.

Position Responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing, transfer processes (Warehouse), and procedures in factory production operations.
• Evaluate each station of the production process to maintain optimum efficiency.
• Enforce safety policies on the production floor.
• Create and oversee employee training to increase production, enhance safety, and ensure profitability.
• Inspect products for quality and accuracy prior to transfer.
• Maintain communication between management and employees to ensure policies are understood and followed.
• Ensure the flow of resources like raw materials is maintained and that production items are delivered as needed and used properly.
• Analyze staffing requirements and ensure efficient compliance with production schedules and budgets.
• Shifts are from 06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00.

Qualifications / Experience

• Grade 12 (Essential)
• Diploma or Degree in a related field (Desirable)
• 1-2 years’ experience as a production supervisor or similar role
• Experience using Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
