Role Purpose

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong analytical skills to assist in realizing Business Strategy by understanding and clearly communicating product requirements to all impacted stakeholders.

This key position in a dynamic Product team will serve as a bridge between actuarial life product requirements and the IT team, facilitating the efficient maintenance and development of IT solutions to meet all product requirements as envisaged.

The role requires strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to relate and engage with actuarial, retail administration, and finance specialists, and to communicate effectively at their respective levels.

In addition to strong Business Analysis skills, familiarity with the full product rules value chain is required.

Requirements
  • Related Degree
  • 3+ years' experience in Business Analysis or in a Product Team within Long Term Life Insurance or Reinsurance
  • In-depth knowledge of Life Insurance products and processes, including product rules, premium rates and charges, value calculations, and investment structures
  • Business Analysis or Actuarial Specialist Experience preferred
  • Experience in SQL
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Financial / Statistical mathematics
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Gather and interpret requirements from stakeholders in line with business analysis frameworks
  • Analyze product and business requirements, validate, and translate into clear requirement specifications
  • Document and present requirements and business process specifications adhering to best practices
  • Oversee quality delivery of requirements in collaboration with project and testing teams
  • Review, validate, test, and gain approval for specifications at each development stage
  • Participate in conceptual solution design and recommend innovative, sustainable solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure expectations are met
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing and guide users
  • Manage change requests, facilitate prioritization, and track queries and changes
  • Use scenario testing and test cases to ensure comprehensive testing
  • Stay informed of legislative, IT, and business trends to optimize service and minimize risk
  • Recommend improvements for client service and fair treatment
  • Contribute to a positive culture, energize employees, and foster innovation and collaboration
  • Identify cost-effective solutions and enhance operational efficiency
