Operations Support Application Developer

This position is responsible for developing, integrating, and supporting technology solutions for the Application Support group within Operations Support.

The Application Support group provides Transmission Operations and Integrated Transmission System (ITS) participants with applications designed to enhance system processes, improve data accuracy, and automate manual tasks.

This role ensures the continuity of major technology initiatives involving mission-critical applications that are being updated or replaced.

The position represents Operations' needs during the development, implementation, and maintenance of custom and third-party applications to ensure the success of various technology projects.

Job Responsibilities

1. Own and manage end-to-end software lifecycle plans for custom application solutions.
2. Develop and implement new application solutions (custom development, third-party packages, or PaaS/SaaS), including enhancements, upgrades, and migrations.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps.
• Full Stack software development experience is a plus.
• Software architecture experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Transmission and Distribution System Operations is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and conflicting priorities.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical partners.
• Experience creating Functional and Technical Design Documents, and Requirements Traceability matrices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to support and troubleshoot issues independently and assist less experienced personnel.

Additional requirements include the ability to pass Insider Threat Program screenings.
