Job description

An exciting opportunity exists in the NXTGEN department to develop and manage projects related to new products, services, and solutions. The role will lead the project management process on development projects, ensuring compliance with scope, safety, time, quality, cost, and productivity standards. It will also facilitate the integration of new technologies into operational divisions.

Responsibilities
  1. Project identification and development
  • Assist the Line Manager and relevant managers in identifying technology or practice development opportunities within the Group's strategic offerings.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies for identified opportunities.
  • Prepare project charters, user specifications, and project frameworks for approval.
  • Maintain a project register and provide close-out reports for all projects.
  • Consultant/Supplier Management
    • Build and maintain relationships with consultants and suppliers supporting NXTGEN projects.
    • Follow structured request-for-proposal and approval processes compliant with FA policies.
    • Define scopes of work for consultants and suppliers.
  • Business Functional Management
    • Execute projects supporting business sustainability, reputation, and industry requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with standards, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, identifying gaps and implementing improvements.
    • Contribute to organizational effectiveness through resource development and knowledge management.
    • Implement business initiatives and continuous improvement on projects.
  • Project Management
    • Plan and initiate projects considering best practices and standards, ensuring delivery within budget, scope, and schedule.
    • Manage logistics, materials, and supplies efficiently.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Plan and execute project close-outs.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and maintain project documentation.
  • Management Lines/Project Teams
    • Manage support services for project execution.
    • Mentor internal personnel to enhance role performance.
    • Provide technical and project support to NXTGEN and the broader FA Group.
  • Technical Management
    • Oversee quality control across projects.
    • Ensure alignment with FA quality management systems.
    • Monitor and report risks, and develop mitigation plans.
    • Report on compliance and technical standards.
    • Define and specify internal project management standards.
    • Provide technical engineering support and supervision.
  • SHEQ Management
    • Ensure SHEQ compliance at project sites and operational practices.
    • Balance environmental, legislative, client, and operational requirements.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate SHEQ risks throughout projects.
