RedCat Recruitment is URGENTLY seeking a suitably qualified and experienced OPERATIONS MANAGER (MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY) for a well-established concern, based in the Northern KwaZulu-Natal area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Qualifications:
2. Grade 12.
3. Diploma / Degree in Industrial Engineering or Engineering discipline (essential).
4. Diploma / Degree in Production and Operations Management.
5. Business Management Diploma / Degree (an added advantage).
6. Additional Requirements:
7. Valid Code 08 driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
8. Competent computer skills (MS Office / Email). Previous experience with Syspro and Shopware.
9. 10+ years of experience as an Operations Manager within a manufacturing environment.
10. Experience managing inbound and outbound logistics.
11. Experience with warehouse management systems, including layout, barcoding, and traceability.
12. Full responsibility for inventory control, cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and external audits.
13. Supplier contract negotiations.
14. Quality system compliance (ISO 9000, FSSC 22000).
15. Responsibility for Health, Safety, Security, Fire, and Risk management.
16. Extensive production planning experience and understanding of production/process flows.
17. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical applications.
18. Manage all IT requirements.
19. Handle on-site administration functions including financial reports, BBBEE/EE reports, budgets, audits, and BOMs.
20. Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act.
21. Collaborate closely with the Factory Manager (Production).
22. Salary package to be discussed.
