Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Administrator with a strong background in managing tender processes and RFQ / RFI / RFP documentation.

This role is integral to ensuring efficient and compliant procurement processes within our organization.

Position Details
  • Position: Procurement Administrator
  • Location: Umhlanga, Durban
  • Employment Type: Full time
  • Salary: R7,000 - R10,000 per month
Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the end-to-end tender process, including identifying opportunities, preparing submissions, and ensuring compliance with requirements.
  2. Draft, distribute, and evaluate RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs to source goods and services.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define procurement requirements and specifications.
  4. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor performance.
  5. Conduct vendor evaluations and assist in the negotiation of terms and agreements.
  6. Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and legal regulations.
  7. Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including scheduling meetings, tracking project timelines, and generating reports.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, with specific expertise in tenders, RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement policies, processes, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is an advantage.
