Job Objectives
  1. Ensure the achievement of the store's financial performance by driving and maximizing sales, tracking targets, and taking proactive actions.
  2. Manage and control all operational activities including expenses, stock, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration.
  3. Manage in-store visual merchandising to maintain presentation and promotional standards aligned with the brand image.
  4. Lead, develop, and motivate staff through effective recruitment, management, and ongoing development.
  5. Schedule staff efficiently in line with labour policies to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  6. Attend to administrative responsibilities, including weekly time and attendance records.
  7. Implement customer service initiatives to enhance customer experience and loyalty.
  8. Build relationships with stakeholders to achieve business objectives and capitalize on opportunities.
  9. Monitor customer trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
  10. Promote cohesion between store, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
  11. Foster a high-performance culture that values employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
  12. Support the vision to be the customer's first choice health and beauty retailer, embodying company values.
Knowledge and Skills

Sound understanding of financial management, retail/FMCG principles, merchandising, stock and risk management, customer service, labour legislation, and IR practices. Skills include managerial, results-driven, planning, problem-solving, customer orientation, leadership, and analytical skills.

Experience

Minimum 5 years in store management within retail/FMCG with an annual turnover of at least R50 million, including extensive people and financial management experience.

Education

Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50%, English 50%).

Preferred: Degree or Diploma in retail/finance management, pharmacy, or related field (for external applicants).
