Job description

This field-based role involves managing the maintenance, installation, and technical support of bowling equipment at various family entertainment centres nationwide. The position plays a key role in ensuring minimal downtime of technical equipment, high safety standards, and consistent operational functionality across multiple sites. The technician will also be responsible for implementing preventative maintenance procedures and mentoring on-site technical staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on bowling lanes and mechanical attractions, including QubicaAMF systems.
  • Efficiently diagnose and resolve technical issues to reduce downtime and maintain service levels.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans across regional locations.
  • Train and support venue-based technicians to uphold consistent quality and operational standards.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate service reports, logs, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT to update and support scoring systems and associated software.

Requirements

  • Based in Johannesburg or Pretoria.
  • Valid driver’s license with flexibility and willingness to travel nationally, including overnight stays.
  • Relevant qualification in motor mechanics or related technical field.
  • Prior experience working on QubicaAMF bowling systems is an advantage.
  • Must be available for standby duties including weekends and public holidays.
