Job Description

Team Support

• Integrate with grid planning, project development, and design functions in ENERTRAG.
• Support the development and expansion of technical infrastructure and processes to optimize electrical designs and support the design base.
• Design and optimize grid connection preliminary and detailed designs for ESA projects (Wind, PV, Storage, and PtX).

Scope of Work

The scope can expand to include regional projects such as Hyphen, substation design, power line design, collector network design, preliminary and detailed design, related cost estimates, electrical design base, reports, drawings, diagrams, protection schemes, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.

Provide project reporting on the status and progress of electrical design and grid connection, and proactively inform about any major deviations from plans.

Decision Making

Make decisions on project electrical design matters within management authority.

Knowledge Collection and Sharing

Compile specific information regarding requirements for the electrical design base.

Qualifications

• Field of Study: Engineer (Electrical or similar)
• Type of Training: University degree
• Relevant Professional Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Additional Qualifications

• Registration as a Candidate Engineer

Experience

• Power system analysis
• Basic understanding of load-flow and fault levels
• Electrical design - Primary Plant: Produce designs under supervision for substations, power lines, and integration with generation and energy storage systems.
• Electrical design - Secondary Plant (PTMC): Exposure to Protection, Telecomms, Metering, and Control design principles.
• Grid connection application: Support in compiling applications for initial grid connection.
• Knowledge of grid codes and standards impacting interconnection of power projects.
