We are seeking a talented and skilled individual to join our team as an Order Handler in the Customer Excellence Team, based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This role involves managing end-to-end customer orders to deliver a superior customer experience, requiring collaboration with internal and external sales teams.

Key Tasks:
  1. Manage order processes from order to invoice via ERP system (iScala).
  2. Place orders with internal factories and external suppliers.
  3. Book orders in ERP, obtain acknowledgments, and communicate order status to customers.
  4. Coordinate delivery in line with incoterms, timelines, and costs.
  5. Escalate and resolve issues promptly during order handling.
  6. Handle import/export documentation and logistics.
  7. Follow up on order backlog and inventory movements.
  8. Ensure timely invoicing once delivery obligations are fulfilled.
  9. Keep customers informed and respond to inquiries promptly.
  10. Maintain compliance with standard business processes.
  11. Develop internal networks for smooth order execution.
  12. Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  13. Work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and collaborate across teams.
  14. Review purchase orders and offers for compliance.
  15. Act as the single point of contact for customers, balancing cost, time, and quality.
  16. Update managers on order status and highlight issues.
  17. Manage invoicing and shipping documentation.
  18. Prepare and submit Letter of Credit documents.

  • Team player with strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 2 years in a similar role or in industrial equipment manufacturing. This is a temporary 6-month contract.
