About CorpsAfrica : Founded in , CorpsAfrica provides opportunities for Africans to serve as volunteers in their own countries, following the Peace Corps model. We train college-educated young Africans and send them to live for up to one year in rural, high-poverty communities to facilitate small-scale, high-impact projects identified by local residents. Our goal is to promote a culture of public service across Africa by enabling participants to apply their education, skills, and energy to help their communities overcome extreme poverty. CorpsAfrica has expanded from Morocco to Senegal, Malawi, Rwanda, Ghana, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, South Africa, and The Gambia, with upcoming offices in Ivory Coast and Nigeria. Having demonstrated the effectiveness of our model, we now receive significant funding from major donors. Overview of the Position :
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Country Director of CorpsAfrica / South Africa. The Executive Assistant will manage the Director's schedule, coordinate travel, handle communications, and perform administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Specific Responsibilities :
  1. Manage the organization's schedule, including meetings, appointments, and events.
  2. Coordinate with finance staff for invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
  3. Draft and format correspondence for senior staff, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness.
  4. Track and prioritize correspondence, follow up on outstanding issues, and ensure timely responses.
  5. Manage incoming and outgoing communication, including emails, letters, and calls.
  6. Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare itineraries.
  7. Maintain organized records and files.
  8. Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
  9. Assist with planning and executing events and meetings.
  10. Manage corporate records and reports.
  11. Read, analyze, and distribute incoming memos and submissions.
  12. Act as a liaison between the Country Director and other departments or external stakeholders.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in a fast-paced administrative support role.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Canva.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information accurately and timely.
  • Fluency in English; French is preferred.
  • Collaborative, cross-cultural work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong commitment to CorpsAfrica's mission, supporting youth leadership, community development, transparency, and accountability.
