Job Overview

This role involves accurately processing warranty claims, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring compliance by reviewing job cards, verifying parts and labor costs, and coordinating with service, parts, and finance departments to ensure proper documentation and timely claim submissions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of truck components and service processes to support the financial and operational efficiency of the aftersales division.

Main Job Activities:

Service Costing
  • Ensure correctness and completeness of job cards, including number, account details, credit limits, and vehicle information.
  • Invoice and cost job cards accurately and promptly.
  • Verify labor hours against the flat rate manual, including sublet work, oil, and consumables.
Workshop Performance
  • Monitor and report updates to the technical database for time and efficiency analysis to the Service Admin Manager.
  • Monitor Work In Progress (WIP).
Customer Service
  • Administer requests for estimates accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide high-quality costing to enhance customer satisfaction and minimize disputes.
Administration
  • Ensure all vehicles are checked for accuracy.
  • Attach all relevant documents (repair orders, costing, parts requisitions, diagnosis reports) to comply with DTSA audit standards.
  • File all job cards systematically.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12.
  • Computer literacy, preferably with Kerridge system experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Costing & Warranty Clerk.
