IntroductionWe invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Forklift Operator role based in our Cape Town operation, situated in Bellville South.

Objective of the role : The Forklift Operator will be responsible for supplying packing material and packing finished products in the warehouse.

Carry out any other reasonable instructions to ensure smooth operations without line stoppages.

Responsibilities : Inspect forklift before the start of each day according to the check sheet.Ensure that finished products are not damaged by the forklift.Offload full pallets from the line.Load boards onto the layer board machine.Bring pallets and load them onto the pallet magazine.Pack finished products in the warehouse.Ensure machines are charged at the end of shifts.Check batteries (water levels and connections) before using machines.Perform physical checks on machines and report any defects.Keep the forklift neat and tidy at all times.Report any irregularities related to the forklift immediately.Ensure pallets and boards are in good condition.Verify that pallets are properly packed before moving to the warehouse.Carry out any other reasonable instructions.Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards.Minimum Requirements : Grade 12 / Matric qualification.Ability to work under pressure.Experience in forklift operation in a manufacturing and / or FMCG production environment is advantageous.
