MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure a safe, positive patient experience by supporting the unit manager in the coordination of patient care and management of the unit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
  1. Ensure comprehensive and safe patient care by mitigating risks and meeting set clinical quality standards.
  2. Manage the patient experience.
  3. Ensure optimal supply, retention, and utilization of staffing resources.
  4. Empower and build staff competence through continuous assessment and development.
  5. Assist with the effective management of operational expenses (including stock and capital).
REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Degree / Diploma in General Nursing.

DESIRED EDUCATION: Midwifery. Post graduate certificate / diploma in specialty area.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 years post qualification experience.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: None.
