RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our client's team in Middelburg. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a range of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment used in various applications. This role is ideal for a reliable and skilled mechanic who thrives in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of diesel machinery and vehicles
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
3. Replace parts and components as required
4. Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance work
5. Perform preventative maintenance to prolong the life of equipment
6. Adhere to safety and environmental regulations
7. Collaborate with team members to address repairs in a timely manner

Requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in diesel mechanics, preferably in a similar environment
3. Strong understanding of diesel engines and related systems
4. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment
5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
6. Ability to work independently as well as in a team
7. Valid driver's license
