Job description

Our client, a well-established firm in the sectional title property administration sector based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and reliable finance professional with a strong background in property or sectional title accounting.

Key Responsibilities :

Full function bookkeeping up to trial balance

Management of accounts payable and receivable

Bank reconciliations and cash flow management

Monthly reporting and general ledger maintenance

Budget preparation and financial forecasting

Liaising with trustees, auditors, and clients

Preparation of levy statements and allocation of payments

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls

Minimum Requirements :

Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience (preferably in property or sectional title administration)

Proven experience using WeConnectU, Pastel, or Sage Accounting

Solid understanding of general accounting principles and statutory regulations

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to work independently and manage multiple portfolios

Preferred Candidate Profile :

Proactive and deadline-driven

Confident working in a structured environment with a high volume of transactions

Familiar with the unique accounting needs of sectional title schemes and homeowners’ associations
