Job description

Location : Johannesburg, South Africa (or anywhere in Africa for the right candidate). This senior role requires a strong leadership background and deep connections within the mining sector, particularly with major mining companies and key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams, developing market strategies, and fostering relationships with large mining clients and distributors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute strategic sales and market growth plans within the mining sector.
  2. Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, driving business objectives and revenue targets.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key mining clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and business expansion.
  4. Oversee direct and channel sales operations, optimizing business development opportunities.
  5. Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align commercial and operational strategies.
  6. Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical business practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5+ years of management experience in sales, business development, key account management, or operations within the mining equipment, heavy machinery, or industrial sectors.
  • Established network and relationships with major mining companies in Africa.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor, manage, and grow teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in English (additional languages are advantageous).

Age Requirement : Preferably under 40 (exceptionally strong candidates up to 45 will be considered).

Nationality : Open to all, except Chinese nationals (as per client preference).
