Executive Professional Assistant – Sales/Fintech / Telecom
We are a fast-scaling company operating at the intersection of fintech and telecom, seeking a high-performing Executive Professional Assistant to support the CEO and coordinate the back office sales function, as well as support strategic engagements. This role is distinct from traditional administrative roles; we require someone with experience in a sales environment, exceptional technical sales knowledge or experience, and understanding of Sales Processes and CRM systems.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be confident speaking with C-suite executives, and provide high-level operational support to our sales and leadership teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, commercially aware, and capable of enhancing the efficiency of our sales processes while contributing to growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the central point of contact for all sales activities, ensuring effective coordination across departments.
- Manage and maintain the sales pipeline and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), ensuring data accuracy and timely follow-ups.
- Prepare and edit proposals, presentations, contracts, and RFP responses.
- Engage confidently with C-level stakeholders, including setting meetings, preparing briefs, and managing follow-ups.
- Support senior sales executives with client relationships, scheduling, and strategic deal progression.
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and forecasts for sales visibility.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure the sales team has updated collateral and case studies.
- Identify and implement tools and processes to streamline workflows and improve sales productivity.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Head of Sales and/or CEO, including travel planning, diary management, and meeting preparation.
- Take notes during meetings, track deliverables, and follow up on actions.
Education and Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience in sales support, executive assistance, or a client-facing role, preferably in fintech, telecom, or B2B SaaS.
- Strong communication skills, confident in interacting with executive-level clients and partners.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems like HubSpot and Salesforce.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, marketing, or related field preferred.
Preferred Attributes:
- Based in Cape Town or willing to work remotely on South African time.
- Experience in fintech, telecoms, or rapidly growing digital businesses.
