Job Summary

To provide specialist advice and support in the maintenance and analysis of operational data to deliver accurate reports and information to relevant business stakeholders, through the execution of predefined objectives as per agreed SOPs.

Job Description
Role Profile:
  1. Perform analysis for all customers to determine compliance adherence to Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) & Common Reporting Standards (CRS) requirements.
  2. Assess existing self-tax declarations on record and determine if they align with FATCA and CRS requirements.
  3. Perform customer remediation specifically for FATCA & CRS requirements, including customer/banker contract review.
  4. Manage workflow on digital platforms for FATCA & CRS remediation.
  5. Update all relevant systems to ensure clients are fully remediated.
  6. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements, the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal policies and standards.
  7. Understand and manage risks and risk events relevant to the role.
  8. Comply with regulatory risk, compliance, and governance requirements.
  9. Meet or escalate support area service level agreements to ensure acceptable client experience.
  10. Work with bankers to implement relevant client contact strategies (e.g., email, SMS, phone).
  11. Participate actively in meetings and suggest improvements for client service.
  12. Share best practices and knowledge with the team to enhance service delivery.
  13. Foster supportive relationships with colleagues and promote team spirit.
  14. Keep up with relevant training, including regulatory requirements, and seek opportunities for skill development.
  15. Develop a solid understanding of Relationship Banking.
  16. Align personal performance with Absa’s values and vision.
Minimum Requirements
  • Qualifications: NQF Level 5 in Banking or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in the Financial Services Industry.
Education

Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC): Business, Commerce, and Management Studies (Required).
