The Position

The Application Specialist Graduate will be responsible for quickly learning and applying QC concepts, getting acquainted with different technologies, and mastering the instruments available in the field. This person must be a quick learner, highly motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to support our customers effectively.

The role is field based and available in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town locations. Please select your preferred location during the application process.

The Opportunity

  • Gain a thorough understanding of QC concepts and practices.
  • Learn and operate a variety of technologies and instruments used in the service department.
  • Work flexible hours to meet the demands of a 24-hour service environment.
  • Handle simple projects independently, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Shadow the field team to gain practical experience and insights.
  • Provide support to the field team and customers, ensuring high service standards are maintained.

  • Show self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Exhibit flexibility in working hours to accommodate the service department's needs.

  • Assist in future-proofing the service organization by adapting to the evolving needs of customers and patients.

Who you are

Qualifications & experience:

  • National Diploma in Medical Sciences (NQF 6) or equivalent Medical Sciences degree or BTECH in Medical Sciences or equivalent (NQF 7)
  • 2 years’ experience in laboratory practices in Chemistry/Immunology or Haematology or Coagulation or Serology or Hospital point of care would be advantageous but not a requirement
