Job description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Finance Manager (CA(SA)) to lead our finance operations in a manufacturing or operational environment (non-financial institutions).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic financial planning, ensuring compliance, managing reporting, and advising executive leadership to drive profitability.

Minimum Requirements :
  • CA(SA) qualification with SAICA registration (Non-negotiable).
  • Bachelor's degree (Honours preferred); completed articles.
  • 10+ years of management experience in manufacturing / operations.
  • Level 3 Tax Compliance and Level 4 Financial Accounting experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel advanced) and JDE systems.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
  • Strong leadership, business acumen, and attention to detail.

This role requires a proactive leader with a strong understanding of financial management, operational dynamics, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities :
  1. Generate and analyze financial data, compile reports, and assess the company's financial health.
  2. Monitor industry trends and advise on implications for the business.
  3. Lead the finance department, including budgeting, policy development, staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  4. Oversee quarterly and annual account reconciliations.
  5. Ensure compliance with all tax and financial reporting standards.
  6. Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial planning.
  7. Provide financial advice to executive leadership.
  8. Prepare and present financial forecasts and documentation.
  9. Act as a financial liaison between internal teams, stakeholders, and external investors.
  10. Develop and implement strategic business plans based on financial analysis and forecasts.
