The Grand Daddy Boutique Hotel is an iconic hotel based in the City Centre of Cape Town, with 32 beds, a restaurant, bar and event venues.

Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time role based in the City of Cape Town for a Housekeeping Supervisor. The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that guest rooms are clean, orderly, and well-maintained. Daily tasks include supervising housekeeping staff, managing inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and addressing guest inquiries and complaints. This role requires direct supervision of the laundry services and coordination with other departments to maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Supervisory Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities as well as the ability to train and upskill other housekeeping staff.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Proficiency in housekeeping practices and laundry operations
  • Customer Service and Communication: Excellent customer service and effective communication skills when dealing with guests and other stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality management is a plus
