Purpose of the role :
The IT Manager is responsible for establishing the company’s IT technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. As manager of information communication technology, he/she plays an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. Responsibilities include leading the execution of technology strategy, technology platforms, partnerships, and relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide the technical vision in alignment with and to complement the business vision.
- Align the local IT direction with that of the Group.
- Advise all senior managers on business decisions involving technology.
- Engage with senior management on innovations to position the company as a leader in integrated innovation management through technology.
Monitor and assess new related technologies as they appear on the market.
- Conduct ongoing proactive research and development into technologies to support the company’s products and services.
- Assess unsolicited proposals from a technology perspective.
- Support departments around technological innovation for products and services.
Information Technology :
- Initiate activities and policies that create useful technologies serving users and enhancing functions.
- Manage the strategic plans for computing and information technology to achieve business goals.
- Ensure infrastructure capabilities meet the company’s growth and objectives.
- Develop and establish policies and approaches for IT operations.
- Evaluate IT operations and recommend enhancements.
- Ensure the security of information systems, databases, networks, and equipment.
- Ensure the ERP system meets company requirements and has development capacity.
Transformation :
- Shape the company’s IT operations to realize the strategic vision and direction.
Project Management :
- Schedule and plan work.
- Manage subcontractors.
- Manage costs.
- Complete projects on time and within budget.
Contract Management :
- Meet all service delivery agreements.
- Ensure procurement processes are correct and timely.
- Report on contract performance to management.
Supervision :
- Manage the IT department and staff.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Ensure attendance and punctuality of staff.
- Develop and implement an optimal organizational structure within IT.
- Identify training needs for staff.
- Regularly inform staff about organizational developments.
