Purpose of the role :

The IT Manager is responsible for establishing the company’s IT technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. As manager of information communication technology, he/she plays an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. Responsibilities include leading the execution of technology strategy, technology platforms, partnerships, and relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  1. Provide the technical vision in alignment with and to complement the business vision.
  2. Align the local IT direction with that of the Group.
  3. Advise all senior managers on business decisions involving technology.
  4. Engage with senior management on innovations to position the company as a leader in integrated innovation management through technology.

Monitor and assess new related technologies as they appear on the market.

  1. Conduct ongoing proactive research and development into technologies to support the company’s products and services.
  2. Assess unsolicited proposals from a technology perspective.
  3. Support departments around technological innovation for products and services.

Information Technology :

  1. Initiate activities and policies that create useful technologies serving users and enhancing functions.
  2. Manage the strategic plans for computing and information technology to achieve business goals.
  3. Ensure infrastructure capabilities meet the company’s growth and objectives.
  4. Develop and establish policies and approaches for IT operations.
  5. Evaluate IT operations and recommend enhancements.
  6. Ensure the security of information systems, databases, networks, and equipment.
  7. Ensure the ERP system meets company requirements and has development capacity.

Transformation :

  1. Shape the company’s IT operations to realize the strategic vision and direction.

Project Management :

  1. Schedule and plan work.
  2. Manage subcontractors.
  3. Manage costs.
  4. Complete projects on time and within budget.

Contract Management :

  1. Meet all service delivery agreements.
  2. Ensure procurement processes are correct and timely.
  3. Report on contract performance to management.

Supervision :

  1. Manage the IT department and staff.
  2. Conduct performance reviews.
  3. Ensure attendance and punctuality of staff.
  4. Develop and implement an optimal organizational structure within IT.
  5. Identify training needs for staff.
  6. Regularly inform staff about organizational developments.
