RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced SENIOR IT TECHNICIAN / TECHNICAL PROJECT LEAD for a growing national IT solutions company. The position is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Job Description

1. Grade 12 qualification.
2. Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
3. Experience with Server OS and related services (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy).
4. Knowledge of infrastructure, including server hardware and virtualization technologies.
5. Experience with backup, recovery solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
6. IT security expertise, including firewalls, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), security policies, and software services.
7. Networking skills, especially TCP/IP to Layer 3, including design and implementation.
8. Experience in managing and contributing technically to projects.
9. Knowledge of hosted PABX voice systems.
10. Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Willingness to work after hours when required.
13. Willingness to travel to clients when needed.
14. Flexibility to work remotely or in an office environment.
