Job Description: VWCV Product Marketer Specialist

Applications are invited from suitably qualified & experienced candidates to fill the VWCV Product Marketer Specialist position in the VW Commercial Vehicle Department - NSO (Sandton).

Location: Sandton, VW Commercial Vehicles Department

Role Overview: The successful candidate will develop strategic product plans to enhance the competitive advantage of the VW Commercial Vehicles brand, securing volumes and market share. Responsibilities include managing product specifications, benchmarking against competitors, developing product strategies, and coordinating product-related communications and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Benchmark VWCV against competitors and monitor industry trends.
  2. Manage product and customer requirement research.
  3. Develop and implement strategic product plans, including pricing, positioning, and model mix.
  4. Coordinate product information updates and ensure accuracy in marketing materials.
  5. Support dealer network training and handle product-related customer queries.
  6. Plan feasibility studies, vehicle clinics, and negotiations for new products.
  7. Specify models using the Group MBV system.
  8. Collaborate with cross-divisional teams and support pricing strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Science, or Engineering.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years in automotive product planning.
  • 2 years in engineering, sales forecasting, market research, or brand management (beneficial).

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strategic and conceptual thinking.
  • Strong marketing and sales understanding.
  • Market and competitive environment knowledge.
