Job Description:

SANCCOB, a leading marine conservation non-profit organization, seeks to employ a Centre Manager to join their dynamic team in Cape Recife, Gqeberha. The Centre Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the Gqeberha centre and its operations and will report to the Chief Executive Officer of SANCCOB.

Job Responsibilities:

• To develop and manage the SANCCOB Gqeberha annual financial budget
• Responsible for the financial management of SANCCOB Gqeberha
• To effectively manage and develop staff at SANCCOB Gqeberha
• To ensure that SANCCOB’s standard operating procedures are updated annually and adhered to
• To ensure that a health and safety management plan is in place
• To ensure good corporate governance is practiced and continuously developed and improved
• To actively participate and represent SANCCOB at stakeholder meetings
• To manage and oversee all aspects of centre maintenance
• To effectively manage human resources, including leave control and any disciplinary proceedings

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma
• A post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage
• Previous exposure and experience in the NGO sector
• Minimum 5 years general management working experience, including experience in people management and financial management
• Experience in seabird rehabilitation, natural science, education, marketing, basic maintenance, and fundraising an added advantage
