Assistant Laundry Master

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Laundry Master in overseeing the daily operations of the onboard laundry facilities
2. Manage and supervise a team of laundry attendants
3. Ensure that all laundry is washed, dried, and folded in a timely and efficient manner
4. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
5. Train new laundry attendants and provide ongoing training and support to existing team members
6. Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, following all safety and sanitation guidelines
7. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Laundry Master
8. Assist with the sorting and distribution of laundry to guest cabins and crew areas
9. Handle guest laundry requests and ensure timely delivery of their items
10. Maintain accurate records of laundry inventory and usage
11. Assist with the preparation of laundry budgets and cost control measures
12. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
13. Uphold the company's standards of excellence in customer service and cleanliness at all times

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or cruise line industry
3. Strong leadership and organizational skills
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures
7. Basic understanding of budgeting and cost control
8. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
9. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
10. Fluent in English, both written and spoken
