The Production Manager will ensure that quality standards are met and customer deadlines are achieved.

  • Education:
  • Secondary Education: Grade 12.
  • Tertiary Education: NQF 6 in Production Management / Operations Management.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Production Manager role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Competencies:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Responsibilities:
  1. Production Coordination
  2. Implement production schedules to meet customer demands.
  3. Coordinate activities with other departments.
  4. Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency.
  5. Monitor processes and workflow, adjusting schedules as necessary.
  6. Identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  7. Conduct root cause analysis of production issues and implement corrective actions.
  8. Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste.
  9. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  10. Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  1. Personnel Management
  2. Manage subordinates in line with company policies, procedures, and industry agreements.
  3. Lead, motivate, train, and control team members.
  4. Ensure quality problems are reported immediately.
  5. Monitor and direct workflow.
  6. Conduct performance reviews and counsel employees as needed.
  7. Motivate the team towards continuous improvement.
  8. Promote workplace safety.
  9. Pass on practical skills ("Show and do").
  10. Ensure team performance meets quality standards.
  11. Communicate values and goals.
  12. Proactively address misconduct.
  13. Conduct discipline and counseling within policy limits.

Salary: R500,000 CTC
