Job description

This global company is a leading supplier of equipment and tools in the mining and construction industry.

As the Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing goods and services from suppliers by creating and releasing purchase orders, administrate order acknowledgements / confirmations and follow up and track deliveries. You will also ensure contract compliance for global, regional, country and local contracts.

Responsibilities include

  • Create and release purchase orders.
  • Administration of order acknowledgements / confirmations including follow up and to take actions on deviations from purchase orders.
  • Give purchasing support to internal users.
  • Identify, prepare and propose sourcing activities.
  • Onboarding (evaluation and approval) of suppliers.
  • Ensure contract compliance for global, regional, country and local contracts within area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Degree / diploma in Supply Chain
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience within a buying-related role.
  • Must have a driver’s license.
  • Must be physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment, including meeting all customer vaccination requirements.
