Job summary

  • Proactively seek out new sales opportunities and convert them into sales.
  • Provide application support and maintenance for the company's product portfolio installed base.
  • Identify potential customers and present product/service offerings tailored to their needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and support to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products/services and effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value propositions to customers.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Utilize market insights to identify growth opportunities and stay ahead of competitors.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including customer interactions, calls, and pipeline status.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, customer service, and other departments to achieve objectives and provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Occasionally support the company's full portfolio in the region, including devices and consumables.
  • Support Key Opinion Leaders in Ophthalmology.

Job Requirements

Education / Professional Certification
• Degree in scientific, engineering, technical, or product-related fields, or equivalent higher education qualification.
• Science/Optometry degree or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.

Experience
• 3-5 years of professional experience in Medical Sales, preferably in Ophthalmology.
• Proven sales track record in B2B or B2C environments.
• Experience in training.
• Ability to network and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
• Knowledge of theatre environments.
• Strong understanding of the Ophthalmology market in the region.
