Job description

Remuneration : R16.00 to R20.00 dependent on skill set, knowledge, and experience + subsidized medical aid on specific plan types + company contribution to provident fund.

Purpose Of The Job :

Our client is seeking an experienced Passenger Vehicle Service Advisor to join their busy workshop.

Responsibilities :
  1. Follow up with orders and parts requirements on current and future jobs.
  2. Manage the total customer handling process in the service and repairs area.
  3. Achieve high customer satisfaction and confidence to increase loyalty and trust.
  4. Generate service business volume through upselling parts and labour during customer interactions.
  5. Build and maintain a positive service image among customers.
  6. Handle all customer requirements by offering alternative repair solutions and pricing options.
  7. Motivate and technically validate warranty and policy-related repairs with customers.
  8. Manage customer complaints and issues up to a certain level.
  9. Support workshop scheduling and coordinate with the foreman regarding customer volume and appointments.
  10. Use various communication methods (bookings, phone calls, email, in-person) to schedule appointments.
  11. Follow-up after service/repair to ensure customer satisfaction.
  12. Maintain positive relationships with customers for repeat and referral business.
  13. Perform general administrative duties for the workshop or service department.
Requirements :
  1. Minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience within the motor industry at dealership level, in a similar role as Service Advisor.
  2. Ford experience is an advantage.
  3. Team player, friendly, energetic.
  4. Self-motivated and target/goal-driven.
  5. Excellent client relationship skills and customer service.
  6. Strong administrative and BSI skills.
  7. Motor industry experience is essential.
