Description

Description of the role and purpose of the job:

Manager in DPP Accounting, responsible for consultations, financial statement reviews, and informal queries in accordance with IFRS, IFRS for SME, and US GAAP (as applicable). The role involves supporting the audit function and other teams on financial reporting matters, responding to consultations, performing reviews, and participating in projects within DPP Accounting. Coaching junior staff and assisting with IFRS training for KPMG staff and clients are also key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of IFRS, IFRS for SME, and US GAAP.
  • Research and respond to accounting queries for KPMG staff and clients.
  • Lead project management and implementation within DPP Accounting.
  • Perform pre-issuance review of financial statements for listed companies and other clients.
  • Stay updated with IFRS developments through research and participation in topic teams.
  • Contribute to technical guidance documents and articles on accounting issues.
  • Draft technical opinions for clients after thorough research.
  • Participate in client meetings at appropriate levels, involving senior staff as necessary.
  • Coach and guide audit and junior DPP staff during consultations.
  • Prepare content for technical meetings, updates, and training sessions.
