Key Objectives

Take overall accountability for the sales of all bio-conditioning products, ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through proactive planning, deployment, and management of the sales team within the region.

Retain key customers by acting as a strategic key account partner and advisor, identifying new opportunities for mutual benefit.

Leverage expert knowledge to support the product development team in creating innovative solutions for customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategy and Sales Planning
  2. Drive the organisation's strategy to achieve market share, profit, and customer satisfaction goals within the bioconditioning division, staying within budget.

    Develop and execute regional sales plans to meet targets, collaborating on national / global account strategies to identify growth opportunities.

  3. Customer Management
  4. Proactively acquire and retain customers, building strong relationships with key accounts to drive long-term success.

    Use market knowledge and customer feedback to enhance product offerings, increase market penetration, and deliver value by addressing customer needs.

    Monitor competitors and coordinate targeted marketing to maintain a competitive edge.

  5. Team Leadership
  6. Manage, coach, and motivate Technical Sales Advisors to achieve profitable results, ensuring they maintain expert product knowledge through training.

    Streamline sales processes, oversee professional customer interactions, and resolve customer complaints efficiently in collaboration with Sales, Supply Chain, and Logistics.

  7. Product and Market Expertise
  8. Maintain in-depth product and technical knowledge, supporting product development and market launches.

    Provide regional performance updates, market insights, and recommendations to management to enhance customer service and business relationships.

    Align internal stakeholders to maximise customer satisfaction and advise on pricing and quoting.

  9. Administration and Projects
  10. Oversee efficient sales administration, ensuring accurate CRM updates and compliance with procedures.

    Participate in sales and customer service projects to support organisational goals.

Experience and Qualifications

Education: Grade 12 plus a relevant Bachelor's Degree; Honours preferable.

A minimum of 10 years' sales experience, including at least 4 years in a senior-level sales position.

Proven track record of sales success.

Proven ability to motivate and lead a sales team.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information to identify business solutions.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Results-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.

This position will support, promote, and grow our client's business and will require travel within and outside the borders of South Africa.
