Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for originating and executing Real Estate (RE) and related infrastructure projects, providing exceptional leadership to the wider Africa team, and providing business and industry thought leadership.

The successful candidate will be tasked with two or more of the below responsibilities amongst others:

  • Real estate advisory services: Market studies / benchmarking analysis, business strategy & planning, highest & best use assessments, market entry/growth strategies, commercial due diligence, feasibility assessment.
  • Transaction advisory services on other infrastructure projects: Transaction advisory for Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Private Sector Participation (PSP) projects for large scale projects in transportation, energy and general infrastructure.
  • Real estate project finance: Undertaking real estate project & infrastructure finance advisory, project finance modelling, Infrastructure M&A, deal structuring and negotiation.
  • Deal Origination and Business Development: Networking, meetings, and proposal preparations to origination of infrastructure advisory opportunities and businesses.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc., BBA, B.Com) in Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Real Estate Finance or equivalent
  • A Master’s degree (MSc, MBA or MA) preferably with specialization in Real Estate / Finance or Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Economics or related field from a reputable university will be an added advantage
  • Membership of professional associations such as Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) or equivalent qualifications will be an added advantage

Experience:

  • General experience: At least 15 years professional experience in real estate and general infrastructure advisory particularly in project finance, financial modelling, public private partnerships (PPP) in developing and emerging markets.
  • Sector of experience - Experience working on advisory engagements such as feasibility studies, market assessment, business strategy and project finance for real estate projects across various asset classes (commercial, residential, industrial, mixed-use developments, etc)
  • Regional experience - Experience across the Sub-Saharan African region will be an added advantage.
