Job description

A vacancy for a Contractor as an Apprentice Automotive Motor Mechanic Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator exists in TALA.

Responsibilities include overseeing the current CBMT Training Programme, Level Testing, Trade Testing, and Moderation of all Trade Tests and Logbooks. Additionally, the role involves implementing the new QCTO Occupational Qualification Programmes for Automotive Apprentices and Workshop Assistants.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  1. Management: Application of 5S Safety Principles; maintaining high standards in workshop, stores, tools, and training vehicles; Apprentice Progress Reports; SDP & TTC Accreditation; Internal and External Moderation (in partnership with NAMB); Internal and External Audits (in partnership with NAMB); Record keeping.
  2. Preparation: Development of Training and Assessment materials; Practical Skills modules; Implementation of the new QCTO Occupational Qualification; Development of training aids, work methods, and components to ensure world-class standards; Developing pathways and course design documents for LMS and assessments.
  3. Facilitation & Assessments: Professional training facilitation; Professional and compliant assessment process; Moderation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant NQF 6 / Qualified Motor Mechanic + Master Technician (G1)
  • At least 3 Years Dealer Experience
  • merSETA Certified Facilitator
  • NAMB certified Assessor and Moderator
  • PC literacy (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills)
  • Relevant Manager Experience
