The position of Assistant Supervisor at Steers, Salt Rock, has become available. This role involves supervising the restaurant team, maintaining operational standards, safeguarding assets, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise the restaurant team and ensure operational standards are met.
  2. Handle opening, closing, and mid-morning inspections.
  3. Develop and mentor team members.
  4. Manage workplace procedures, including industrial relations.
  5. Provide job coaching to ensure desired skill levels.
  6. Oversee financial procedures such as cash handling, float management, and banking.
  7. Conduct weekly evaluations and develop action plans.
  8. Prepare reports on sales turnover and sales mix.
  9. Manage stock levels according to procedures, including ordering, receiving, and stock control.
  10. Perform stock takes and control inventory.
  11. Interface with customers to resolve queries and ensure a friendly atmosphere.
  12. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of customer seating and front of house.
  13. Conduct overall inspections and check equipment maintenance.
  14. Ensure hardware is not abused or lost.
  15. Conduct month-end stock takes.
  16. Promote team development and training.
Requirements
  • Minimum qualification: Grade 12
  • Ideal qualification: Diploma in Business Management
  • Previous quick-service restaurant experience at supervisory level.
  • Training: Franchisor training preferred.
