Job description

Racing Distribution has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Assistant (Junior) based in Cape Town, Western Cape. The role involves ensuring accurate and complete waybill capturing monthly, maintaining good customer relationships, and ensuring efficient service delivery. The assistant will complete all reports before deadlines, handle queries related to waybill tracking and discrepancies, and assist the accounts department as needed.

Responsibilities include stock level management for waybills & sleeves, accurate waybill allocations, attending to ad hoc tasks from management, and vehicle operation duties. The role also entails responsibility for vehicle safety, documentation, compliance with policies, and ensuring proper loading, packing, and stock management.

Minimum requirements:

  • A valid South African Driver’s License code 10 with PRPD
  • 3 years’ distribution experience
  • 3 years’ transport and logistics experience

Advantages include strong administration skills, understanding of the supply chain, and geographical knowledge.

Additional responsibilities cover query resolution, billing, safety, vehicle maintenance, goods handling, stock management, and compliance with safety and company policies. The role also involves customer communication, cash handling, stock counts, and ensuring a professional appearance and behavior.
