Job description

As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our IT infrastructure. You will provide technical support to customers as well as troubleshoot issues on a daily basis. You should have at least 2 years of experience in an IT related role with an interest in Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange or SQL. A high level of written and verbal communication skills are required along with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.

Requirements
  1. Provide support when problems arise and maintain a log and/or list of all the required repairs.
  2. Carry out routine server and network maintenance tasks.
  3. Setup and maintain backup systems for desktops and file servers.
  4. Engage with clients and assist with software and hardware installation and break/fix function at lower levels of complexity.
  5. Ensure the operational hardware and the associated software are installed on client sites, under the supervision and guidance of more senior colleagues.
  6. Test installations and assist with fixing performance issues of installed software, escalating problems where applicable.
  7. Contribute to client engagement and the success of the team by working with the team to ensure a quality solution for the client.
Qualifications
  1. IT Degree or Diploma.
  2. Relevant vendor and product certification together with the required vocational training completed.
  3. A+, N+, MCSE.
  4. Must have one year of related experience in the field of service technology.
  5. At least one year of recent experience in a technical support role.
  6. Must possess a valid driver's license with the ability to use a personal vehicle for work purposes and clean driving history.
